Obama’s 100 days…the signs are there.

The signs are there my friends. Just like in every action movie or show that has a black president, some bad shit is going to happen. I had predicted this years ago!

The economy is a wreck. The ghetto is expanding because all the rich people are losing their jobs and moving into “affordable housing”. No one has credit to buy a house or get a loan. Young students cant get into school and the old people are going back to school.

The Koreans want to blow us all to hell. Their oppression by the West has been so severe that they are close to doing something we may all regret. Lets not forget Iran is dying to develop a Nuclear program as well. This is the new arms race for the 21st century.

Swine flew is every where. This thing will turn into a pandemic that we have not seen before. Although we have modern medicine, there are going to be a lot of sick people. Those who do not have insurance are in deep shit. What a way to get rid of the poor!

So what does that mean? I cannot recall a president that had to deal with this much in his first hundred days. It is almost like the next big thing will be a Meteor coming to to earth just like in did in Deep Impact. Morgan Freeman was president and we all knew that once a black man was president we were in trouble…lol

All kidding aside, this man is doing a great job. I am the most amazed by his dealings with Cuba and Venezuela. It is a bumpy ride and we all knew it would be. But I am happy with the leadership of this country.

Racism is Still Here…

Racism exists. Racism is systemic. Racism is mind numbing. It dulls the senses. It makes you think that it is not there. Witnessing so much of it makes you desensitized to the every day reality of it. Even as much as I think about it and see it, I will always need someone to remind me of it.

It is a sad reality when you realize that you have to work harder and longer than other people. It is a sad reality when the hard work you can put into something can be rendered meaningless because you have no real power. To come out and admit that you in a Racist environment is not an easy thing to do.

Many companies, while they offer extensive EAP benefits, do not have support groups for victims of Racism. These are victims you know! These are the people that are passed up for promotions while watching someone else get appointed to that very same position. These are the people that refuse to talk about their experience because it is too painful; they spend decades at one place only to be betrayed by the “system”.

I am angry. I know people like this and to be honest, I was one of these people. It hurts when someone can tell you that Racism is not as bad as it used to be. It hurts when someone can say that Racism is not a problem anymore. My answer to them is simply, wake up.

I have learned over the years that some people would rather employ a white person who is a complete idiot than a brown person who is a genius. Some may not believe it to be true, but I have seen and I even deal with it now. Someone asked me today, “what is worse a white idiot or a black one?” Shit, the black one is worse, of course. As a person of color you never want a brown idiot running around on the job. It makes us all look bad. But to white people a white idiot…is just an idiot. There is no remark like “Well you know how they are”.

So, don’t be fooled about the fact that we have a black president. Most white people may celebritize Obama like they have Lebron James. Larger than life…or rather, not really a ni**er like the rest of them. Don’t be fooled about the choices that are made during these “hard economic times”. Though I will say that the people of color have been in a recession since slavery ended. So while a lot people are out of jobs, they are just joining the rest of us…

Preach on Black Man…

It is days like these that I realize that having a Black President is the greatest thing that has happened to this country. President Barack Obama’s address to congress is so polarizing. It is still going on as I write this. I am not sure when the last time we have heard such roars and applause at a presidential speech.

This man is awesome. I love the fact that finally we have a president that I can cheer for, that I can joke about without any sense of disrespect, that I can look up to. He makes me want to be a better person and a better leader. When I watch the President speak, I only hope that I can speak in public half as well as he can. Actually, he kinda reminds me of a preacher who has his congregation on the edge of their seats. They get up and applause so much, that it seems like church!

I never thought, and I guess I am still in awe, that I would see a Black man addressing the nation like this. I have seen several speeches from Barack Obama, but to still be able to inspire people is just amazing. At one point he speaks about a young black girl from Dillon, South Carolina who wrote to Congress about how bad her school is. He quotes her by saying “we are not quitters”. Michelle Obama stands up and hugs this young black (and I mean black) girl and you just want to cry.

The change that this man is making in this country will not be measured. I am not talking about the economy. I am talking about the minds and hearts of the young people in America. Obama makes me want to watch politics. This is a black man that is hot hitting home runs, or catching touchdowns, or dunking the ball. This is a black man that is not wearing a fitted, or rhyming about niggas and bitches, or smoking weed on TV. This is THE black man that is running our country. He is not hitting his woman (thank you Chris Brown). He is the man that we, as men of color, can finally look up and aspire to.

Let’s face it, Barack Obama is changing the perception of what the Black man can do. He makes all of us relevant. When I walk into meetings, i know that every person in that room will understand the I belong

Snow Dayz

I was so tight this morning. First I want to mention that since I have bought a snow blower 2 years ago it has snowed a total of 5 times until about 2 weeks ago. Of course, 3 weeks ago, my garage door broke and I cannot open it. Which for those you who are housless means I cannot get my snow blower out…or my car in! ( I used to laugh at people who had to clean off their car everyday…I hate karma sometimes). The snow hasn’t been that bad, yet. So, I plan on testing the fates and getting the door fixed. If it stops snowing after that…lord help me.

Back the reason I was mad. I am driving to work, and of course it is snowing. I normally do not drive fast in the snow becuase I have a Toyota Echo and when I am on a hill or in the snow, I am pretty much going nowhere fast. So this black lady in her ugly ass Lexus (yes, i am hating), cuts me off!!! I had to bite my finger to stop all the things I want to say about her and her body parts falling off. Well, I did say something, but this is a family show.

Sigh…what is this word coming to? A woman, a black man, and a latino man are all running for president. I mean I think it is great, but shit who will I vote for. I am too used to white men running this country. I think white people are scared…and if you dont believe me, look at all the shows or movies that have black presidents in them.

First example…the movie Deep Impact. Morgan Freeman was president. Can anyone tell me what happened? A @&#!ing asteroid its the earth! What kind of shit is that????

Second example…the television show 24. There is a black president, Wayne Palmer. In episode 4 of THIS season, a nuclear bomb goes off in California! WTF???

Remember when Bush campaigned 3 years ago, he said that if we dont vote for him we would get hit with all these terrorist attacks. Imagine what Obama’s opponent will say??? Vote for blackie and we will all die in a hellstorm of Metors and Nuclear Explosions…damn.

Oh, Happy Birthday Jose…(dont mean to be mad on your day…ha ha ha)
